OOPS LOG Adds Subheadings After Corrections Become Too Emotionally Organized

The OOPS LOG binder sprouting new subheading tabs including original wrong and everybody knew by lunch, beside a warm sandwich. — The OOPS LOG entered its tabbed phase with visible confidence.

Bob Callahan has added subheadings to the OOPS LOG after determining that recent media corrections about Trump were no longer merely alphabetical but emotionally organized.

Corrections used to fit under outlet names. Then came the correction to the correction, the clarification of the correction, the editor's note explaining the clarification, and one regrettable podcast episode titled We Stand By The Process.

The New Taxonomy

The new categories include Original Wrong, Correction Wrong, Correction Correct But Inconvenient, Everybody Knew By Lunch, and Source Was A Person Near A Television. Bob said the last category may need its own cabinet.

One network objected to being placed under Correction Correct But Inconvenient, arguing that its correction was more accurately a context enhancement. Bob moved the entry to Everybody Knew By Lunch and underlined the date.

By late afternoon the OOPS LOG had become easier to navigate and harder to defend. Bob celebrated by finishing his sandwich and starting a new tab labeled Future Regrets.
